MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY
Today is January 19, 2010 and I have begun my weight loss journey. I will be taking 2 shakes a day, with a healthy snack bar and an energizing green tea beverage and then finishing the day with a wholesome dinner, focusing on vegetables and protein with a little bit of carbs from whole wheat bread, brown rice or whole grain pasta. I will also be exercising each day, for at least 30 minutes. 3 miles = 10,000 steps so I am working up to that. Beginning at:
1-19-10
Weight 175 pounds
Hips 44″
Waist 36″

1-27-10 Weight -172 pounds Hips- 43″ Waist-34″ 3# 3″ lost!
2-2-10 Weight -171 pounds Hips-43″ Waist- 34″ 1# lost
2-9-10 Weight -169 pounds Hips-43″ Waist- 34″ 160’s!!!!
I am really excited to be in the 160’s…..something that I have not been able to get to for 10 years! I know I can reach my goal weight now!
2-15-10 Weight -169 pounds Hips – 43″ Waist-34″ Same as last week…No change
hmmmm. I exercised almost every day too – guess I have to increase it! Very disappointing but I will carry on – I know I can reach my goal! (I actually did some research about this and found out that muscle (which I am retaining) weighs more so that is perhaps why no weight lost, but my clothes are actually fitting looser – so much so that I went down one size already!)
2-23-10 Did not weigh today but lost 2 more inches Hips now 42″ Waist 33″!!
3-5-10 (Skipped a week!)
Weight 168# Hips 41″ Waist 32″ Arms 12″
So I lost 1″ inch in each of the measurements (total now 13″ gone ! and 1# lost = 7# lost) I am very excited!!
4-15-10 Wow….I have strayed a bit with 2 vacations in between! But good news is that I have still continued to lose weight! I must admit that many days I only took the shake once – and have not got an exercise routine just yet but am encouraged that I am still losing pounds.
Weight 166# Hips, waist and arms still the same Total weight lost: 9# and 13″in measurements
5-7-10 Wanted to get back to you with my updates - I certainly wanted it to be more weight lost,but because I was not exercising regularly I knew it would not be a lot. Exercise is so important. Now I am back on track. Good news – I am still losing!!
Weight 164# (that’s why I fit into that size 12 so easily!) Lost another inch in my waist – I am now 31″, still 41″ in hips and am now 11″ in arms. Total weight lost 11# and 15″ in measurements
