Making My Blog Carbon Neutral
- by admin
Being a mom of 5 and grandmother of 16 I particularly enjoy reading other mom’s blogs. I enjoy this one very much, especially because she has chosen to be a stay-at-home mom with her little ones and also that she is passionate as I am about being green.
Her latest post included a great opportunity for those of us with blogs to participate in a project to help neutralize the carbon dioxide emissions from our blogs. Did you know that a blog with 15,000 visits a month has a yearly carbon dioxide emissions of 8lb? Who knew! The purpose of this initiative is to plant a tree for every blog that links back to their cause…..to reduce carbon emissions. The Arbor Day Foundation will be planting each tree beginning this spring of 2010.
Go here and you can join other bloggers and help reforest 5,500 acres of Plumas National Forest in California with 792,000 trees. All it takes is composing a short article about this project (as I have done here), add a button promoting their site and letting them know about your post. They will plant a tree in your honor. What a great way to promote Earth Day!
For those of you who comment on this post I will send you a sample of an organic super cleaning non-toxic concentrate. Mixed properly with water this tiny capsule is enough power to make a whole bottle of all-purpose super cleaner and another whole bottle of glass cleaner – 16 earth-loving ounces each!
